Free, on your device
Import, trim, split, merge clips in timeline order, crop, titles, SRT captions, fade and wipe transitions, licensed audio, microphone voiceovers, green-screen replacement, thumbnails, and supported exports all run in your browser. No paid editing API is required.
Real video exports
MP4 uses H.264 and AAC through WebCodecs and Mediabunny. Export support is checked before rendering. WebM with VP9/Opus is an alternative where available. Unsupported codecs or decode failures produce an error, never a fake success. 480p, 720p, and 1080p are supported when the device can encode them. Very large projects may exceed device memory.
Local projects & public cloud
Save project uses this browser’s IndexedDB, including locally imported files. Reopen on the same device and browser. Clearing browser data removes saved projects. Cloud uploads use the built-in GenMB File Storage, are public, and have plan limits. Uploaded media can be added to this local project. There is no private account sync.
Optional AI video service
No AI capability or paid video provider is enabled for this app. Enable a suitable video-generation integration in the Add-ons panel. A production connection needs a server-side function to start and poll a provider job, a secret API key, billing, and a returned playable video URL. Never put a secret in frontend code. Text-to-video and AI subject segmentation are not claimed to work without this connection.
Background
Chroma key is free and works best with a clean, evenly lit green screen. It is color removal, not AI segmentation. A solid or uploaded image can replace the removed background. Exports remain opaque. Arbitrary subject removal requires a separate segmentation service.
Preparing for monetization
Use your own footage and original commentary, retain commercial-use licenses, and review any AI provider’s terms. Avoid reused compilations or unlicensed music. This editor does not certify eligibility, guarantee revenue, or submit your video to YouTube.
Install & use offline
The published app includes a manifest and service worker for supported HTTPS browsers. Open it directly, not inside an iframe, and use Install app or Add to Home Screen. The editor shell is cached after visiting; locally saved projects can be reopened offline. Cloud uploads and external AI require internet. Microphone access requires a secure context and permission.
